De-Influencing Wallpapers are custom wallpapers for the JLL Creative Team. The project included 4 collections that needed to cater to over 70 designers across the country. The collections were sized to fit most monitor and laptop sizes and were created as a fun way to reach each designer on the team at JLL.

Collaborators:Tanvi Dev—Illustration, Craftsmanship, Project Planning, Layout Design

Tools Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office

Collection 1

Collection 1 focuses on using typography to create beautiful graphics with inspiring quotes. With drawing inspiration from Jessica Hische, I was able to create this collection starting with sketches and moving into Illustrator.
Designer: Karsen Jones

Collection 2

Collection 2 focuses on illustrations created by my teammate, Tanvi. She used her love for illustration to create “design memes” for the team at JLL.
Designer: Tanvi Dev

Collection 3

Collection 3 focuses on using collage to create conceptual wallpapers. With a love for collage, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to bring meaningful yet beautiful collages to the creative team at JLL. With the use of buildings and the brand colors, I was able to tie in what JLL excels at, commercial real estate.

Collection 4

Collection 2 focuses on using the JLL brand to create visually pleasing wallapers. Tanvi used her illustration skills to show JLL’s passion and desire to create a diverse and inclusive environment for all employees.

What I learned:

Working on the wallpapers was a fun break in between projects and allowed me to be creative in a new way. I have always had a love for hand lettering and this project pushed me to explore the skill and create beautiful graphics. I also learned how to keep the user in mind...always. The wallpapers were created for a very diverse group of people and we needed to keep the collections simple yet conceptual.

We also had to keep in mind where to put the JLL support information. Since the wallpapers would potentially be used on a variety of screen sizes, it took lots of testing and trial and error to find the right spot for the logo and tech support information.

With more time and resources:

With more time, I’d love to create more wallpapers whether it’s for a team or just for fun!
