When researching illustration styles, I kept coming across 3D modeling and set out to learn the software. I used a template provided by Spline and customized it to fit what we needed for Meeko’s home.&nbsp; The 3D world allows for a more interactive experience for the child and helps keep them more engaged with Meeko.&nbsp; App Onboarding The onboarding is a very crucial part of the app. This is the first interaction the child will have with Meeko. It’s important for Meeko to introduce himself to the child and ask the child for their name. This invites and welcome the child to feel comfortable. Meeko also has to explain that he will be with the child and will help guide them as they explore the internet. The app onboarding would take place after the parent goes through the website onboarding. The app is soley for the child to interact with Meeko. The child can gain points to use in the reward shop.The games focus on the 3 different areas of social media safety, going safe, going kind, going aware. What I learned: For this project, I learned 3D modeling in Spline to create Meeko’s environment. When our group was researching illustration styles, I kept coming across 3D figures and worlds. I set out to find a software where I could learn and create Meeko’s world. I came across Spline and watched videos and taught myself how to build and render on this software. I really enjoyed learning a new tool and figuring out how to add the interactive element to the project. With more time and resources: Meeko was accepted into the SXSW Innovation Lab in mid-March. Two of our group members attended and design professionals were recommending our group to patent Meeko. Another attendee said he wanted to possibily invest in the project. Meal Information The user can view the benefits of each item included in their meal. Each item includes benefits helping relieve hangover symptoms. The kit can be delievered right away or can be scheduled ahead of time. This gives the user the option to be prepared before going out or send the kit as a gift to a friend after a night out. Driver’s App Onboarding BAD DAY is based around delivery drivers similar to what is used for Uber Eats or Favour. When signing up to be a driver, the user will sign up with their name, email and password. They will also be required to upload a picture of their driver’s license and insurance to ensure they are valid to be a delivery driver.&nbsp; After completing onboarding, the driver will choose how they would like to receive payment and either link their account to their credit card or bank account. They will also choose how often they would like payouts to take place. After the project was finished, our group pushed the project to explore real-world opportunities. We presented a poster and gave an oral presentation in the TXST Undergraduate Research Conference and won 3rd place in TXST CEO Elevator Pitch competition in Spring 2022. We also submitted the project to TXST New Ventures program, a competitive accelerator program that supports early-stage business ventures from faculty, student, or alumni ideas and innovations. Our project advanced past the first round, but we sadly had to withdraw due to busy schedules with school and jobs. This project allowed us to explore real world opportunities and a chance to work alongside other professionals. With more time and resources: If there was more time, I would have loved to have stayed in the New Ventures program and work with the entrepreneurs to explore the idea even more. This allows you to get a better feel for the building and the amenities it has to offer. The marketing floor helps sell the office space to the potential tenant. It was important to display what 5300 included when you lease from there. I knew I wanted to learn how to make my work interactive so I used this project as a learning experience to teach myself InDesign animation. With the help of my manager, I learned a new skill and created a beautiful, interactive brochure for 5300 Memorial. With more time and resources: I originally had another interactive element on the “Floor Plan Availability” page in the brochure but when opened in the browser, it appeared glitchy. I have always had a love for hand lettering and this project pushed me to explore the skill and create beautiful graphics. I also learned how to keep the user in mind...always. The wallpapers were created for a very diverse group of people and we needed to keep the collections simple yet conceptual. We also had to keep in mind where to put the JLL support information. Since the wallpapers would potentially be used on a variety of screen sizes, it took lots of testing and trial and error to find the right spot for the logo and tech support information. I word listed how to visualize “extravaganza” and that led me to this exciting, and bright typography and lettering. I loved working with the type and manipulating it to the banners and having a 3d layered effect. While working with ImmunoTek &amp; Freedom Plasma, it has taught me to stay organized and how to design for multiple brands at once.&nbsp; With more time and resources: With more time, I’d like to create more social media posts but focus on creating carousel posts. Taking EGD, environmental graphic design, allowed me to explore what the physical space within the hotel and casino would look like. I learned how to think creatively and have more fun with project. With more resources: I would love to explore the casino space a little more to see how to bring the character of Twin Pines to the space.
